Operation Table
The Operation Table lets you browse the planned operations in a table. Which operations are listed, the order they are listed in, and the columns shown are all decided by the Asprova style used for the upload. You can also record results against the listed operations, and export the table as a CSV file.
Description of each part
Each row is one operation. Operation groups are listed as rows too, but they cannot take results: their rows show no Start or End buttons, and their Edit result button is disabled.
Columns come from the uploaded Asprova style. A few of them are given special treatment:
- Status is shown as its status name rather than its code.
- Properties with a choice list are shown using the choice's alias, or its display string when no alias is set.
- Reported start time and reported end time hold the Start and End buttons — see Entering results.
Work_MyScheduleOperationURLis shown as a button that opens the link. See Operation URL.
Only the operations within the display period set in the My Schedule integration settings are uploaded. An operation group is uploaded when at least one of its child operations falls within that period.
Display settings
You change the Operation Table's display settings from the toolbar. These settings are saved per user in the browser.
Style
When multiple styles have been uploaded from Asprova, you can switch the displayed style here.
Compact version
Controls how the table handles columns that do not fit the window. When ON, every column is fitted into the width of the window and long values wrap onto several lines. When OFF, each value is kept on one line and the table scrolls horizontally. The default is OFF.
Number of items shown
Sets how many operations are shown per page.
Entering results
If the result-entry buttons are unavailable, check the following:
- Whether you are using a "Viewer plan" project — result entry is not available on the Viewer plan.
- Whether your permission is "Read only" — with "Read only" permission you can only view operations.
- For the Edit result button only: whether a project administrator has turned Edit result on for the Operation Table.
The Start and End buttons are shown in the reported start time and reported end time columns. Pressing Start records the operation's result start time; pressing End records its result end time. Once a time has been recorded, it replaces the button in that cell.
Both columns are always present, even when the Asprova style does not list them.
To change an entered result time, or to enter properties such as the result quantity, use the result editing dialog. It is opened from the Edit result button in the rightmost column of the table.
That column is shown only when a project administrator has turned Edit result on for the Operation Table. The setting is under Project Admin Settings, in the hamburger menu (☰) of the toolbar; only project administrators can change it, and it applies to every user on the project.
Exporting the table
Export → Download CSV, in the hamburger menu (☰) of the toolbar, downloads the table as a CSV
file named operations.csv.
The file holds every operation of the currently selected style — not only the page you are looking at — with the same columns and column headers as the table on screen. It is encoded in UTF-8 with BOM, so Microsoft Excel opens it without mangling non-ASCII text.
Importing results
The Import section of the same menu records many results at once from a CSV file. For the procedure and the file format, see Manual import.
Customizing the display with styles
If you change the displayed column settings of a style, you must overwrite the style before uploading; otherwise the style will not be reflected on My Schedule.
Among Asprova's Operation Table style settings, the following are reflected in My Schedule's Operation Table. Note that all styles are evaluated at upload time.
- Displayed columns: determine the columns of the table, and the order they appear in. Columns hidden in the style are not uploaded. The column header is the property's alias, or its display string when no alias is set.
- Filter expression: determines which operations are listed.
- Sort expression: determines the order the operations are listed in.
Even when the style does not include them, the reported start time and reported end time columns are added automatically, so that results can always be entered.
Pivot contents are not supported. When a style being uploaded contains them, the plugin reports a warning during the upload, and the style is unlikely to be displayed correctly in My Schedule.
